Of interest are Robert Campbell's abstract images of the Salt Ponds in the northern and southern parts of San Francisco Bay. Robert Campbell flies his own Helio Courier aircraft, operates his own custom color lab and has over 45 years experience as a professional pilot, professional photographer, color photography teacher, and professional color lab owner.

Robert Campbell has been flying since 1964. He studied photography at San Francisco State University in the late 1960s, and with Ansel Adams in Yosemite in 1968. He is an Airline Transport Pilot, Type Rated in Douglas DC 3 aircraft. He is also an accomplished photographic formation pilot. Additionally, he has extensive experience shooting film, video and still photographs from a variety of fixed and rotary winged aircraft. |

Robert Campbell's photographs have been featured in numerous publications including: California Living Magazine (Approximately 50 covers and inside photos), San Francisco Magazine, Arizona Highways Magazine, Flying Magazine, Popular Photography, Hasselblad Forum, Over California (the book), Harpers and Boating to name a few. His work has been featured in exhibits in San Francisco, New York and United States Embassies in Europe. Recent Video credits include: Over California, Over America, Over Beautiful British Columbia, The World Above and Secrets of the Wine Country on PBS. Aerial sequences on The Popular Mechanics Show on The Discovery Channel and Bay Area Backroads on KRON TV, San Francisco.
